What do banking and fitness have in common?

Me! A corporate numbers girl turned yoga/pilates teacher and fitness trainer, I am passionate about helping clients through life transformations. At the age of 40, a serendipitous job opening at a local gym inspired me to pursue my lifelong passions - health, wellness, fitness and movement.

And so began my fitness career!

The first chapter of my career was devoted to teaching group fitness classes to groups of 35-40 people.

For those 10 years, I honed my skills on delivering proper form and technique, getting certified and teaching Les Mills programs

 (Body Pump, Body Flow, RPM).

But I wanted more... I wanted to facilitate personal transformations on a more intimate level.

Transitioning to Personal Training (ACE since 2007) gave me that platform. This is also when I found and fell in love with Pilates, Yoga and the mind/body connection essential for personal transformations.

I immersed myself, gaining my 200-hr Yoga instructor certification (Anusara), then shortly after PHI Pilates Mat and Reformer Level 1 and 2 instructor certification. I've continued my education over the years with Wunda Chair combo (PHI), Barre (IBBFA) and countless continuing education hours in complementary classes and workshops.

From this foundation, I built a successful business that continues today. My unique background in the corporate world translate perfectly into the fitness world. Attention to detail, client relationships and a positive, inspirational attitude has helped me build a growing base of loyal clients who love their workouts.

My Passion is to connect with you and meet you where you are.

My Path is to continually uncover my gifts and offer them authentically to you.

I am originally from the East Coast (Maryland), but have lived in Kailua Kona, HI since 1995 and have trained clients that come from all over the world.  I am a runner at heart, completing a marathon, several half marathons, as well as 3 Olympic distance Triathalons here on the Big Island. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, cooking, taking yoga classes from other yogis, learning to play guitar, spending time outdoors at the beach (although I've been known to hibernate indoors all weekend with a good book!) and connecting with my good friends.

I look forward to seeing you in the Studio!

Change happens through movement and movement heals.

"Katie is a wonderful fitness trainer! I bought a package for several Pilates classes and I loved it! I had to go gentle on my workout regimen, due to my skin condition and Katie made my body workout without getting sweaty! My muscles were hurting after each class but I didn't even felt like I was working out DURING the class. I recommend Katie to anyone who wants to rock Pilates workouts in Kona!"

"I found this lovely studio on yelp when I was looking for a yoga studio in kaulia kona. I was welcomed with smiling faces from the owner and the other ladies that were practicing. I attended the slow yoga flow(I think that's the name) and loved it. Just wanted to thank everyone for the aloha spirit. Malaho"
